RICHMOND, Va. – Davidson is garnering national attention for its hot start to the 2014 season, as the Wildcats have been one of 15 teams recognized weekly by College Baseball Insider for the past three weeks.
Davidson has been among the 10 teams recognized weekly as a CBI Louisville Slugger Team of the Week honorable mention, as its third consecutive honor was announced Tuesday morning.
Most recently for the week of Mar. 24-30, the 'Cats went 3-1 by defeating Duke and taking two of three from Georgia Southern. Other notable programs that received honorable mentions were South Carolina, Miami (Fla.), Arizona State and Stanford. Florida was named the CBI Louisville Slugger Team of the Week, while four other teams earned regional team of the week honors.
