ELON, N.C.— Davidson finished out its season-long seven-match road swing with a 6-1 defeat at No. 46 Elon Sunday afternoon at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center in Southern Conference men's tennis.
 
Playing its fifth ranked opponent of the season, Davidson fell to 3-10 overall and 0-2 in league play. Elon won its fourth straight to improve to 8-3 on the campaign and remain perfect at 3-0 in the SoCon.
 
The Wildcats lone team point on the afternoon came from Connor Evins at No. 2. The senior continued his strong final year with a solid 6-2, 6-3 win. Evins improved to a team-best 7-6 on the year, with a 3-3 record at No. 2.
 
Elon took the first team point with a clean sweep at doubles, winning 8-3, 8-4 and 8-1.
 
After playing four matches in an eight-day span, Davidson takes some time off before hosting Wofford, March 20, at 3 p.m.
