DAVIDSON, N.C. — Playing its third of four home games in a five-game stretch, Davidson will welcome Old Dominion Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. in Richardson Stadium for a non-conference women's lacrosse matchup.
The Opening Draw Control
Davidson (3-5, 0-0 Big South) plays its last non-conference contest Tuesday by hosting Old Dominion (3-8) for the first time. The Wildcats are riding a two-game winning streak, tallying victories over Elon (15-8) and Saint Francis (11-8).
The All-Time Series/Last Meeting
This will be the first meeting between both programs. It's also the third time this year Davidson is facing a new opponent, having also faced San Diego State and Elon.

Record Watch: Career Assist Record Falls
Junior Emily Cooke broke yet another record, after setting a pair of single-season marks a year ago in points (87) and assists (55). She set the program's all-time assists mark, March 22, in Davidson's hom win vs. Elon. The attacker dished out a pair of assists to give her 15 on the year and a new Wildcat record of 78 for her career. She passed Linda Rothmund's mark of 77 set from 1996-99.
Cooke' team-leading 15 assists rank second in the Big South, while she is second on the team with 19 points behind Ann Fucigna's 20 (13 gls., 7 asts.).
Weekly Honors
Freshman Katherine Rueger won the Wildcats' first Big South weekly award, taking home the Crons Brand Rookie of the Week, March 10. Senior tri-captain Paige Logan won the 'Cats' second weekly award a few weeks later, bringing home the Big South Defensive Player of the Week, March 24. Taking home her third career Big South weekly award was Ann Fucigna as she collected the Wildcats' first Big South Offensive Player of the Week, March 31.
Last Time Out ...
DAVIDSON — Senior Ann Fucigna registered season highs of five goals and seven points, and Davidson erased an early deficit with a big second half in winning its second in a row with an 11-8 victory at Saint Francis last Saturday.
Fucigna and the Wildcats outscored the Red Flash 8-2 in the second half to erase early deficits of 4-0 and 6-3 in the first half. Fucigna led the comeback by scoring half of the 'Cats' eight second-half goals, while assisting on two other goals.
Down 6-3 at halftime, Davidson went on a 4-1 run to start the new half to tie things up on Emily Rademacher's goal off an assist from Nicole Pettiglio with 20:47 left.
They continued their scoring spree, netting another two goals with Fucigna assisting Katherine Rueger on the game-winning goal to break up the tie and then scored her own goal eight minutes later at the 8:39 mark to make it 9-7.
Fucigna capped off her outstanding day with a goal and assist in the final three minutes.
Last Time Out ...
... OLD DOMINION — Junior midfielder Christina Rea and senior attacker Emily Austerberry combined for nine goals, but ODU fell 18-17 to the Virginia Tech Hokies on Senior Day.
On a very rainy and muggy senior day, ODU (3-8) trailed 5-1 early but came back with a comeback effort led by Rea, who scored five goals on the day, and Austerberry, who tallied four goals in the game.
ODU, down 11-10 after the first 30 minutes, began the second half with a goal scored by Austerberry. Rea tied the game at 12-all a few minutes later, however Virginia Tech would retake a 14-12 lead.
Mary McCaleb of Old Dominion scored her second goal of the game to cut the lead to 14-13, and then Standing and Austerberry added the next three as ODU once again came back to tie the game, this time at 16-all. Both teams would trade goals to make it 17-17, but Virginia Tech managed one final tally, getting the game-winner at the 4:13 mark for the final of 18-17.
