Strong Showing for the Wildcats at Season Opener

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Davidson men's track and field team kicked off the 2014-15 indoor season Saturday, with a strong showing at the JDL Fast Track Invitational.
One of the highlights of the day was in the 1000 meter run. Wesley Laytham crossed the line in 2:35.86, just 1.84 seconds out of first place, while Patrick Rollo posted a time of 2:39.17 to take sixth.
In the 3000 meter run, Henry Falotico crossed the finish line in 8:56.29, while Ramsay Ritchie wasn't far behind as the freshman posted a time of 8:59.25 to rank ninth. Alex Herron took 12th with a time of 9:11.14.
In the 500 meter dash, Ben Corson took 11th with a time of 1:08.84, while Charles Rappe came in 16th in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8:69.
Davidson will return to the track Jan. 16 for the Johnson City Indoor Classic.
