Wildcats Set for NCAA Southeast Regional Meet

DAIVDSON, N.C. – After a fifth-place finish at its first Atlantic 10 Championships, the Davidson men's cross country team will compete in the NCAA Southeast Regional meet Friday at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Ky. The race is set for 1 p.m.

The Particulars
The meet, hosted by the University of Louisville, will feature 36 teams. Representing the Wildcats will be Whitner Chase, Sal Del Giudice, Henry Falotico, Aaron Forburger, Walker Mogen, Ryan Phillips and Daniel Samet.

About Davidson
Buoyed by experience this season, the Wildcats have been led by a core group of upperclassmen. The trio of Chase, Samet and Phillips have paced the Wildcats so far this season. Samet and Phillips have been the first Wildcats to cross the line twice, while Chase has paced Davidson once.

Last Time Out
Samet led the Wildcats to a fifth place finish at the Atlantic 10 Championship at Schenley Park Nov. 2. Samet covered the course in 24:55.7 to finish 12th overall, and earn a spot on the all-conference team. Chase crossed the line in 20th position with a time of 25:24.2. Riding the heels of Chase to a 28th-place finish was Mogen who posted a time of 25:32.3.

2013 NCAA Southeast Regional Meet
Last season, Del Guidice paced Davidson to a 20th-place finish at the NCAA Southeast Regional Championship. Del Giudice covered the 10K course in 30:57.7 to take 73rd.
