Eckstein Wraps Up Fall Slate with Top-10

CAMDEN, S.C. – Senior Todd Eckstein posted a 54-hole total of 214 (69-71-74) to lead the Davidson men's golf team at the Camden Collegiate Invitational hosted by South Carolina.
The event was played on the Par 70, 6,455-yard Camden Country Club layout.
In addition to recording his fourth career Top-10 finish, Eckstein concluded Davidson's fall slate with a team-best 72.18 stroke average.
As a team, Davidson concluded the inaugural event in 11th place at 885 following a final round 301. The Wildcats finished just three back of Gardner-Webb and USC Upstate.
Andy Simmons (+12/T-32), David Sargent (+14/T-47), Ralph Blasey (+15/T-51) and Alex Nianouris (+25/74) were also in the Wildcats' starting lineup, while Spencer Papciak (+22/T-70) competed as an individual.
The host Gamecocks (288-284-275=847) carded a final round five-under 275 and rallied from seven strokes back to edge Wofford (284-281-283=848) by one shot for the team title.
The Terriers' Brannan Hudson (201/-9) captured the individual crown by six shots over his teammate Jeremy Grab and USC Upstate's Ryan Cornfield.
Davidson will enjoy a four-month break before opening its spring slate at the Mobile Intercollegiate, Feb. 23-24 in Mobile, Ala.
