DAVIDSON, N.C. – In conjunction with the 25th year of women's soccer at Davidson College, the program is celebrating its anniversary with a weekend gathering during homecoming, Oct. 18-20, as announced by head coach Greg Ashton and the Davidson Athletic Fund.
As part of the festivities, the Wildcats will host UNCG Friday night for Senior Night at 7 p.m. and then play Elon Sunday at 2 p.m., in which former players over the years will be recognized at halftime. Prior to Friday night's game, there will be a pre-game tailgate as well as a post-game gathering to honor the seven seniors.
Saturday former players will have a chance to catch the men's soccer team play with a pre-game gathering with former men's players. Sunday's schedule has former players, their families and current players with their family meeting for a brunch, before heading off to watch the Wildcats take on the Phoenix at Alumni Stadium that afternoon. The former players over the past 25 years that attend the weekend festivities will be honored and recognized during halftime.
