Skeadas Named Cleveland Golf / Srixon All-America Scholar

DAVIDSON, N.C. – For the second consecutive season, Davidson's John Skeadas has been named a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar, as announced Wednesday evening.
To be eligible for Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50-percent of his team's competitive rounds or compete in the NCAA Championships, have a stroke-average under 76.0 in Division I and maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
Highlighted by a first-place finish at the Waterville Collegiate in Ireland last fall, Skeadas finished his senior campaign with a 75.57 stroke average. In addition to his first career win, the Savannah, Ga., native recorded four Top-15 showings in 2012-13, while helping the Wildcats to a second-place finish at the Southern Conference Championships.
The fourth Wildcat to receive the honor multiple times, Skeadas graduated with a 3.528 GPA as an economics major.
