19th Tom Scott Golf Tournament A Huge Success

DAVIDSON, N.C. -- On Monday, April 29, 124 supporters of Davidson Athletics took to the links at River Run Country Club to help raise money for the Davidson Golf program by playing in the 19th Annual Dr. Tom Scott Memorial Golf Tournament.

The tournament, organized by the Davidson Athletic Foundation, serves as an annual fundraiser for the golf program. This year's tournament netted over $39,000 for head coach Tim Straub and his team!
The tournament is named in honor of Dr. Tom Scott, former Director of Athletics at Davidson from 1954 to 1975 and self-appointed golf coach from 1955 to 1976. Dr. Scott served as five-term president of the Southern Conference and helped prepare Davidson for the introduction of women's athletics in 1974.
