Paddon Paces W. Track at Duke Invite

DURHAM, N.C. – Sarah Paddon fell just shy of the school record in the 1,500-meter run as the Davidson women's track & field team took part in the Duke Invitational, hosted by the Blue Devils at Wallace Wade Stadium on Friday evening.
Paddon took 12th in a competitive field in the 1500-meter run, crossing the line in 4:37.18 to finish in a career best that was just shy of the school record. Presley Parkes ran a personal-best 4:43.20 in the event, good for 28th place, while Brigid Behrens clocked in at 4:54.30 to take 41st. Maggie Rickard ran a separate section of the 1500-meter, running to a 5:03.76 for 29th place.
Lauren Carter represented the 'Cats in the 3,000-meter run, running an 11:05.65 to take 20th, while Erin Osment grabbed a 14th place finish in the 5,000-meter with a time of 18:28.94. Ali Cobb ran in a separate section of the event, taking 13th in 18:53.17 while Grace Carr was close behind in 16th with a time of 19:00.92.
Kate Kostecky took part in the 400-meter hurdles, finishing in 1:09.21. Her time, a personal best, moves her into eighth place on the program's all-time list.
