CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Olivia Menden and Manya Swick each posted a top-15 finish as the Davidson women's track & field team finished up the second day of action at the Charlotte 49er Classic, hosted at the Irwin Belk Track on Saturday afternoon.
Menden took second in her section of the 800-meter run, crossing the line in 2:18.97 for 11th place overall. Sarah Paddon finished third section of the event, running a 2:21.44 to finish 22nd overall while Presley Parkes was just ahead of her in 21st with a time of 2:21.43. Grace Watt was 31st in the event, clocking a 2:22.53 and Ashlyn Gruber took 49th in 2:26.03.
Also competing was Swick, who crossed the line 11th in the 3,000-meter run. She finished in 10:46.65.
The Wildcats will return to action March 23 when they travel to High Point for the High Point Vertklasse Meeting.
