Davidson Places 59 Players on PFL Academic Honor Roll

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Davidson football team placed 59 players on the Pioneer Football League Academic Honor Roll for the Fall 2012 semester, as the Wildcats posted a team 3.00 grade point average.
The Pioneer Football League named a total of 470 student-athletes from its 10 member institutions. Dayton led all member schools with 71 student-athletes named to the Honor Roll. Drake followed with a program-record 62 honorees. Jacksonville also had a program-record 45 student-athletes named to the honor roll. Butler had 61 individuals named followed by Davidson (59), San Diego (45), Morehead (43), Campbell (42), Valparaiso (30) and Marist (22).
Pioneer Football League athletic directors and coaches established the honor roll as a way to recognize the league's outstanding student-athletes. The academic honor roll consists of student-athletes who participated in football at member institutions during the fall semester and posted a 3.0 grade point average or higher during the semester while enrolled full-time in accordance with NCAA rules.
