Men’s Track & Field Completes First Day at Hilton Garden Invitational

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Sophomore Whitner Chase paced the Davidson men's track and field team with a top-10 finish on the first day of competition at the Hilton Garden Invitational Friday evening on the JDL FastTrack.
Chase placed seventh in the top section of the 5000-meter run in a personal best 15:13.67 to lead the Wildcats.
A pair of freshmen also has successful days, as Xzavier Killings led Davidson in the 60-meter dash preliminaries with a race of 7.27 seconds, and Charles Rappe was the top Wildcat in the 400-meter run, finishing the prelim in 53.25 seconds.
