DAVIDSON, N.C. — The Davidson women's basketball team welcomes its biggest opponent to date to John M. Belk Arena when the Rutgers Scarlet Knights come to town Wednesday evening for a 7 p.m. contest.
The Wildcats are in the midst of a six-game homestand, opening it with a win vs. Gardner-Webb last Saturday. They will also host Wofford (Dec. 7), Furman (Dec. 9), Charlotte (Dec. 21) and Richmond (Dec. 28) after Wednesday's game vs. Rutgers.
Game Notes- Quick Hits ...
•Davidson plays its biggest home game of the program's history with a matchup against American Athletic Conference foe Rutgers Wednesday night.
•The Wildcats will play three games in a six-day span starting Wednesday evening. They will open Southern Conference play vs. Wofford and Furman during the stretch.
•Wednesday's game is the second of a season-long six-game homestand, the longest since 1998-99.
•Head coach Michele Savage enters her fourth year at Davidson (61-45, 41-19 SoCon).
