SoCon Honors 15 Wildcats on Fall All-Academic Team

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Fifteen members of Davidson's fall sports teams were recently honored by the Southern Conference as part of the league's all-academic team, announced by the conference on Friday.
All 12 SoCon institutions were represented by a total of 302 student-athletes. Fall sports included were men's and women's cross country, football, men's and women's soccer and volleyball.
To be eligible, student-athletes must maintain a grade point average of 3.3 and partake in at least 50 percent of their team's competitions. They must also have completed at least 24 credit hours in the previous two semesters.
Fifteen student-athletes were honored as carrying cumulative GPAs of 4.0. Cross country runner Jamie Durling represented the Wildcats, boasting a perfect grade-point average as a junior history major.
