Men’s Golf T-9th After Two Rounds of Mason Rudolph Championship

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – John Skeadas III shot a one-under 70 and teammate Richard Fountain carded an even-par 71 as the Davidson men's golf team sits tied for ninth after 36 holes of the 2012 Mason Rudolph Championship hosted by Vanderbilt.
The 54-hole event is being played on the Par 71, 7,100-yard Legends Club South Course layout.
Skeadas' second round consisted of two birdies and a bogey, while Fountain, the 2011 SoCon Champion, posted three birdies and three bogeys. Skeadas (75-70=145) will enter the final round tied for 20th a stroke ahead of his teammate.
Todd Eckstein turned in another solid round shooting a two-over 73, which puts him in a tie for 36th (+5).
After opening with a one-under 70, Samuel Echikson struggled on the back nine to finish with an 80 and fall into a tie for 51st.
Also competing for the Wildcats is freshman David Sargent, who shot an eight-over 79 Saturday and is two back of Echikson.
Davidson (292-293=585) will enter the final round just seven strokes out of fifth and 10 outside the Top-3.
Oklahoma's Abraham Ancer is the individual leader at 135 (-7) while the host Commodores moved a shot ahead of the Sooners on the team leaderboard with a six-under 278 this afternoon.
The third and final round will begin tomorrow morning at 8 a.m.
