Dalton Grabs Wildcats' Second Track & Field Athlete of the Week Honor

DAVIDSON, N.C. — Stewart Dalton became the second Wildcat men's track & field member this spring to earn a weekly SoCon award as he was named this week's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week by the coaches and announced by the league office.
Dalton set a new personal-best in the long jump at the Carolina's cup held by Winthrop, with a mark of 6.90 meters (22'7.75"). With his mark, the sophomore jumped into the top-10 in Davidson history. Dalton's leap also ranks him second in the SoCon this year.
The sophomore joins Andrew Lantz, who was the Track Athlete of the Week, Mar. 20, as the two Wildcats to earn honors this year.
Davidson gears up for the SoCon Outdoor Track and Field Championship, which will be held in Cullowhee, N.C., April 21-22.
