Lantz Named SoCon Men’s Track Athlete of the Week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Davidson sophomore Andrew Lantz was voted as the Southern Conference Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week by the league's coaches, the conference office announced Wednesday.
Lantz captured a pair of second-place finishes at the 49er Classic over the weekend in the Wildcats first outdoor meet of the year. On Friday night, the Houston native ran a personal best time of 3:52.12 in the 1500-meter, coming up just six-hundredths of a second. He turned in another personal best in the 800m on Saturday with a time of 1:51.75, again finishing six-hundredths of a second behind the winner.
The 'Cats will next compete in The Vertklasse Meeting at High Point Saturday.
