BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Davidson women's indoor track and field team opened up its first day at the Southern Conference Indoor Championships on Thursday at the BHM CrossPlex on the campus of Samford.
Davidson did not score a point on the first day as their were 15 events ran.
In the 3000 Meter run, Ali Cobb had the best Wildcat time when she crossed the finish line at 10:45.20. The time was good for 16th place overall.
Gracie Gordon competed in the long jump and finished 12th with a jump of 15-10.50. She also ran in the 60 Meter dash, but did not qualify for the finals, getting a time of 8:33 in the prelims.
Three Wildcats ran in the 800 Meter run, but their times came up short in qualifying for the finals. Grace Watt had the best time of the trio at 2:21.93, which was good for 14th in the prelims. Brooke Senken and Jane Gay also ran, earning times of 2:27.16 and 2:31.87.
Davidson concludes the SoCon Indoor Championships tomorrow, Feb. 24, with the remaining events.
