DAVIDSON, N.C. — Fresh off taking down Appalachian State on Saturday in front of a season-high crowd of 1,271, the Davidson women's basketball team looks to close out its home slate of games in winning style when it hosts Wofford on Monday, Feb. 20, as part of Senior Day.

The Opening Tip
Davidson (19-7, 15-2 SoCon), which took over first place in the league standings, will seek its ninth straight win when they play the Wofford Terriers (11-14, 4-12 SoCon) on Monday night at 7 p.m. in John M. Belk Arena.

Prior to the game, the Wildcats will honor seniors Kristen Johnsen and Amanda Ottaway as part of Senior Day. The duo will be playing their final regular season game at home.

The All-Time Series/Last Meeting ...
... has Davidson leading 25-13, but lost this year's first meeting on the road, 63-59, which snapped its four-game win streak. The Wildcats though have still won 18 of the past 21 contests overall in the series.

In the first meeting this year, Jan. 9, Wofford's Rachel Brittenham banked in a three-pointer as the shot clock was expiring with 44 ticks left to give Wofford the lead and Davidson was held scoreless in the final 1:49 of the game as it fell 63-59. Laura Murray filled up the nets for a game-high 16 points, while Sophia Aleksandravicius tallied a double-double with 10 points and 15 rebounds.

Game Notes...
Wildcats Set School Mark, Best Run in SoCon in Program History
Davidson has been on a roll as of late in the Southern Conference, resulting in setting the best run in program history. The Wildcats' 15-2 record in league play is the best through 17 SoCon games in program history. The 15 league wins set a school record, snapping the 14-6 mark set by the 2004-05 team. This season saw the 'Cats get off to a 5-0 start to open league play, two games off the best start set by the 2008-09 squad.

Win vs. App. State Sets Record For Most Wins at Home
Davidson has taken its homecourt advantage at John M. Belk Arena to a new level this year. The Wildcats set the school mark for most wins in a single-season when they scored a 61-54 home triumph vs. App. State, Feb. 18. It moved their record to 11-1, breaking the old mark of 10 wins in a season which was set four times. The 'Cats are currently riding a four-game win streak and have won 15 of their last 17 in John M. Belk Arena.
This season saw the Wildcats rattle off a seven-game home win streak in their first seven home contests. The 7-0 home start was the best start in program history to surpass the 1996-97 team that won its first six straight home contests.

New Overall Season-Best Win Streak, Eight Straight
The Wildcats pushed their season-best win streak to eight in a row after taking home a 61-54 victory at home vs. Appalachain State, Feb. 18. The streak started Jan. 23 vs. Chattanooga at home as Davidson has picked up four home wins and four road wins during the run.

Davidson as a team is outscoring its opponents 65-50 during the win streak.

Laura Murray has paced the offense, shooting a solid 48.8 percent from the field and even better from downtown at 50 percent. She is averaging a team-best 14.4 points. Sophia Aleksandravicius is dropping in 12.9 points and just over nine rebounds, while having swatted away 30 blocks in the six games.

The win streak is the longest since the 2009-10 team rattled off six straight. The school record is 10 in a row set by the 2006-07 team.

SoCon Season-Series Sweeps
Davidson earned its seventh SoCon season-series sweep when it scored a 61-54 home win vs. ASU, Feb. 18. The Wildcats, who earlier in the season defeated the Mountaineers 55-52, have already sweep the two-game series vs. Ga. Southern (72-48 & 69-62), Furman (61-50 & 78-57), College of Charleston (56-39 & 46-23), Western Carolina (64-46 & 58-45), Elon (75-66 & 78-51) and UNCG (71-52 & 58-49).

SoCon Double-Figure Streak Snapped at 21 for Murray
Sophomore Laura Murray saw her streak of scoring in double figures during the regular season vs. Southern Conference foes come to an end at 21 straight when she scored just six points in a home win vs. App. State, Feb. 18. It was the longest streak of her career.

The shooting guard started the streak last year in Chattanooga and closed the year with five straight double-digit scoring games, including a 23-point effort vs. Georgia Southern. This year during the run, she hit the 20-mark four times in games vs. Elon, at Furman, vs. Samford and vs. UNCG.
