Williams Earns Weekly CFPA Honor

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Davidson junior Reese Williams (Abilene, Texas) was named an FCS Honorable Mention Tight End Performer of the Week by the College Football Performance Awards, it was announced Monday.
Williams, a team captain, led the Wildcats in total receptions in a loss Saturday to Presbyterian College with five for 46 yards.
Recipients are selected exclusively based upon objective scientific rankings of the extent to which individual players increase the overall effectiveness of their teams.
Davidson will return to Pioneer Football League action for the remainder of the season and next hosts Dayton for homecoming Saturday at 1 p.m. in Richardson Stadium.
