Wildcats Set Spring Slate of Games for Women's Soccer

DAVIDSON, N.C. — Head coach Greg Ashton has announced that the Davidson women's soccer team will play seven spring contests with four of them being held at Alumni Stadium.
The Wildcats, coming off a 6-8-6 campaign in the fall, open their spring slate of games at home against Winthrop, Mar. 9 at 7 p.m. and then will have an Alumni game, Mar. 12 at 12 p.m. Both Davidson and Winthrop squared off this fall, with the 'Cats scoring a 2-0 shutout win to improve to 3-0-1 all-time vs. the Eagles.
Davidson stays at home for its next spring contest, a 5 p.m. game against Wingate, before going on the road. In their lone road contest, the Wildcats go to Gardner-Webb to face both the Runnin' Bulldogs and USC Upstate at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Then to close out their 2011 spring games, the Wildcats play host to Lenoir-Rhyne at 7 p.m. on April 5 and then travel to Winston-Salem, N.C., for the Southern Soccer Showcase on April 9.
