DAVIDSON, N.C. - Davidson wrestling will host the 2011 Davidson Open Saturday in Knobloch Indoor Tennis Center. The first matches are set to begin at 9 a.m.
Approximately 200 wrestlers representing up to 17 schools are slated to compete. The double-elimination, non-team scoring tournament will feature 32-man brackets in each of the 10 weight classes. Admission is free to the public.
Davidson sophomore Scott Patrick will look to claim the 184-pound title after winning the 174-pound bracket last season. Patrick leads the team this season with a 6-2 record.
