Rollins Continues to Lead Davidson at SoCon Men’s Golf Championships

FLORENCE, S.C. – Christopher Rollins remains as Davidson's top individual as the Wildcats matched their first-day 302 in the second round of the Southern Conference Men's Golf Championship on Monday at the Country Club of South Carolina.
Rollins fired a three-over par 74 and now sits in a tie for 14th (145). Sophomore Jackson Taylor moved up to 30th-place (149) by shooting Davidson's low round of the day, a one-over 73. Junior Bobby Urso carded a 77, while freshman John Skeadas III carded a 78.
As a team, Davidson sits in 10th place tied with Samford at 604.
Furman fired the lowest round for the second straight day, carding a nine-under par 279, to extend its lead to 11 strokes. A pair of Paladins, Austin Reeves and Garland Ferrell, vaulted into the lead with a two round score of 137 (-7) at the par 72, 7,062-yard course.
The final round of the championship will begin Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. The team and individual winner each earns automatic qualification to the NCAA Men's Golf Regionals.
