Bruton, Pagonis Lead Men's Track at 49er Classic

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Top-10 finishes by Peter Bruton and Demetrios Pagonis led the Davidson men's track and field team Friday in the Charlotte 49er Classic at Irwin Belk Track & Field Center.
Bruton finished the 1500-meter run in 3:56.81 to place eighth, while Pagonis placed ninth in the 5000-meter run in 14:58.42. Both times rank among the top-ten all-time at Davidson.
Mordecai Scott led the 'Cats in the sprints with a time of 11.24 in the 100-meter dash and 22.68 in the 200-meter dash.
Competition continues Saturday.
