Radsky Named SoCon Student-Athlete of the Week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Davidson wrestler Alex Radsky's championship performance Saturday and continued success in the classroom earned the political science major Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week honors for March 10.
The junior from Worthington, Ohio has a 3.284 GPA and became Davidson's first individual Southern Conference wrestling champion since Kerry Keith won at 191 pounds in 1969. Wrestling at 133 pounds Saturday, Radsky earned a 3-2 decision against top-seeded Josh Statum of Chattanooga. He is also the Wildcats' first representative at the NCAA Wrestling Championships since 1999 when Ian Kaplan received an at-large bid.
Radsky has won 10 consecutive matches and 14 of his last 15. He has posted a career-best 17-4 record, and his winning percentage of .810 is the third-highest all-time at Davidson.
Radsky is the second Davidson wrestler and the fourth from Davidson to be recognized as the SoCon Student-Athlete of the Week this season. Senior wrestler Ben Altman earned the honor for the week of Jan. 13. Sarabeth Peele (volleyball) and Amanda Flink (women's soccer) also won the award this season.
