Meet the Wildcats Fan Day Set for August 15

DAVIDSON, N.C. - Davidson Athletics is hosting its Meet the Wildcats Fan Day Saturday, Aug. 15, from 1-3 p.m. on the Davidson Town Green. Fans will have the opportunity to meet Davidson coaches and athletes representing five fall sports: football, men and women's soccer, field hockey and volleyball.
Davidson College welcomes the public to help kick off a great fall sports season, to get to know the coaches and athletes and to enjoy an afternoon of fun for the entire family.
All five teams will be signing autographs, and select teams will be hosting exclusive skill stations. Children can meet all of their favorite Davidson athletes and can also enjoy the Kids Zone, which will include face painting, balloons and inflatable sports games.
Fans will also have the opportunity to dunk “Davidson celebrities” such as head football coach Tripp Merritt and Chief of Campus Police Fountain Walker, in the Dunk Tank.
A free raffle with prizes will take place every 15 minutes. Prizes include two universal season tickets (valued at $900), football and men's soccer season tickets, autographed team memorabilia and more! Fans can pick up a raffle ticket in participating Red & Black sponsor stores or they can enter the raffle at Fan Day.
Fans are encouraged to check out Paint Davidson Red & Black partners for special discounts offered Aug. 15, which will also be available on home football game weekends.
