
W. Soccer Honored For Academic Success

DAVIDSON, N.C. — The Wildcat women's soccer squad was recently honored as a team for their academic excellence this past season as announced by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).
For the 14th consecutive year, Davidson earned the Women's College Team Academic Award from the NSCAA for the 2007-08 season. The program has won the award since the inception of it in 1996. The wildcats as a team had a 3.37 GPA and were one of 271 women's teams to earn the academic honor.
Davidson concluded its fifth straight winning season under the direction of head coach Greg Ashton with a 10-6-3 overall mark in 2008, and have hit the 10-win plateau in all five of those seasons.
