Potter Named to ADA Academic All-Star Team for Second Straight Year

DAVIDSON, N.C. - Davidson receiver Myles Potter has been named to the Football Championship Series (FCS) Athletic Director's Association Academic All-Star Team for the second consecutive season.
Potter capped his career by catching 34 passes for 386 yards and two touchdowns in 2008. His 80-yard touchdown reception against Jacksonville Sept. 27, was the longest for the Wildcats since 2003. He played in 41 career contests and recorded 85 receptions for 1,037 yards and five TDs. Potter is a two-time ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District selection and was named first-team Academic All-PFL in 2007.
Potter owns a 3.62 grade point average and is majoring in chemistry. He is the fifth Wildcat to earn the honor since 2002 and the second repeat selection, joining current assistant coach Patrick FitzGerald, who won the award in 2006 and 2007.
