Ben Behrendt Named PFL Special Teams Player of the Week

DAVIDSON, N.C. - Davidson kicker Ben Behrendt has been named the Pioneer Football League's Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in the Wildcats' 38-35 victory over Jacksonville last Saturday.
With the game tied at 35, the sophomore booted a 23-yard field with 42.5 seconds left to complete a 21-point comeback and lift Davidson to the PFL win on Homecoming.
Behrendt also converted all five of his PATs to score a total of eight points in the contest. The first-year starter has hit 2-of-3 field goals this season, including a 47-yarder on his first career attempt, and made good on 7-of-8 extra point attempts.
Davidson heads back on the road for the next two weeks, beginning with a 1 p.m. contest at PFL?opponent Morehead State this Saturday.
