
Davidson Hands Out 2007-08 Athletic Awards

DAVIDSON, N.C. — Davidson College announced its award winners for the 2007-08 athletic seasons Monday evening at its annual all-sports banquet, including the Tommy Peters Award (senior Jason Richards) and the Rebecca A. Stimson Award (senior Brenna Burns), honoring the college's top male and female athletes.
In recognition of their outstanding dedication and contribution to intercollegiate athletics, senior All-Southern Conference forward Thomas Sander was presented with the Thomas A. Sparrow Award, while four All-SoCon performer senior Nancy Haskell received the Susan K. Roberts Award. Swimmer Lindsey Martin, was recognized with the Helen DeVane Carnegie Award, presented to Davidson's most outstanding freshman athlete.
