DAVIDSON, N.C. -- The Davidson Wildcats field hockey team hosted their annual Alumnae play day this past Saturday at Belk Turf Field.
Despite less than ideal weather conditions, the Wildcats' play day festivities included Appalachian State, the Charlotte club team and a Davidson alumnae team.
After a full day of seven vs. seven games from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., the team hosted its annual banquet, where they recognized several team award winners. Senior defender Jen Willis was named team MVP, junior defender Sara Stevens, most improved; freshman attacker Courtney Tobe, Rookie of the Year; and senior attacker Catherine Ransone, Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
The Wildcats will continue their spring season, heading to William & Mary for a play day that includes Radford, VCU, the Tribe and the William & Mary alumnae team.
