FIELD EVENT RESULTS
ROCK HILL, S.C. — The Davidson Women's Track and Field team competed at the 2008 Winthrop/Asics Invitational and saw several Wildcats compete in the finals on Saturday afternoon on the campus of Winthrop University.
In the running events, Megal Atias had the best showing on the day in the 1500 meter with a seventh place finish. She raced to a time of 5:00.12 to place her seventh in the finals of the lead.
Also competing in the event with Atias was Heather Conarroe and Sarah Cline, each finishing in the top-10 in the finals. Conarroe crossed the finish line with a time of 5:05.40 and Cline was right behind her with a 10th place showing, earning a time of 5:05.41.
The Wildcats also were represented well in the field events. Kennesia Martin and Meghan Mary Daly each competed in the triple jump as Martin closed out in eighth place with a jump of 11.05 meters (36' 3"). Daly was eight spots behind Martin to finish 16th for Davidson.
Davidson next competes at the Duke Invitational on Apr. 4 and then the Clemson Invitational on Apr. 5.
