Altman Named SoCon Student-Athlete of the Week

DAVIDSON, N.C. - Davidson wrestler Ben Altman has been named the Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week, the league announced today. It's the second time the sophomore has earned the honor this season.
Altman won two matches by technical fall last weekend to lead the Wildcats to a pair of wins over Campbell (26-19) and Anderson (26-15). He posted a 16-0 victory in his first match and won his second 15-0, notching 10 team points for Davidson. Altman, who carries a 3.76 grade point average, improved his record to 22-11.
The Wildcats cap their regular season by hosting Duquesne tonight at 7 p.m. in Belk Arena. Davidson will compete in the Southern Conference Championships in Chattanooga, Tenn., March 8.
