Today's Game
• After playing six of its first eight games on the road, Davidson returns home for the final three, beginning with a 1 p.m. contest against San Diego today.
• Davidson is 8-2 in Richardson Stadium in its last 10.
• The Wildcats are 11-9 in their last 20 conference contests.
• Davidson broke a four-game losing skid with a 49-0 victory at Campbell last week.
• It was the first shutout for the Wildcats since a 31-0 victory over Wesley at Richardson Stadium in 2002.
• San Diego has lost its last two games, including a 30-22 decision to Dayton at home last Saturday. The loss broke a 28-game home winning streak for the Toreros, which dated back to 2004.
• Davidson is 1-1 at home this season while San Diego is 2-1 on the road.
• It's Take a Kid to the Game Day, and all children 12-and-under accompanied by a paying adult receive free admission.
Series Record
• San Diego leads the all-time series, which began in 2000, 4-1, and has won the last four.
• The Toreros have defeated Davidson in both meetings at Richardson Stadium, including a 50-21 decision in 2006.
• Quarterback Ryan Alexander set a school record with six touchdown passes and matched his career high with 404 yards in a 52-49 loss at San Diego last season.
• Davidson rallied from a 42-21 deficit and trailed 45-35 with 7:21 left in the game.
• After Alexander found Beaux Jones for a touchdown with 3:53 left, the 'Cats attempted an onside kick, but San Diego recovered.
• The Toreros scored to make the margin 52-42, but Davidson answered again with a 3-yard TD pass to Justin Williams with a minute to go. The 'Cats tried the onside kick again, but the ball was touched before it went 10 yards, giving San Diego the ball and the win.
• Ryan Hubbard had 11 receptions for 158 yards, and Jones finished with eight receptions for 115 yards.
Scouting the Toreros
• There's new faces on both sides of the ball, but San Diego, which has been dominant in the PFL?over the last few years, remains one of the top teams in the league.
• The Toreros average 401 yards of offense a game, 264.4 through the air and 136.8 on the ground.
• Seb Trujillo has thrown for 2,018 yards with 25 touchdowns and six interceptions. He has completed 65.4 percent of his passes and his passing efficiency is 157.70.
• John Matthews has caught 64 passes for 990 yards and 15 scores.
• Defensively, San Diego has 16 sacks as a team and 33 tackles for loss. The Toreros also have 11 interceptions, including four by Al Adeyemi.
• San Diego is giving up 301.4 total yards a game, including 114 on the ground.
