Today's Game
• The Wildcats return home for the first time since Sept. 27 as they host defending PFL?champion Dayton in a 1 p.m. contest.
• Davidson is 8-1 in Richardson Stadium in its last nine; it's the 'Cats second home game this season.
• Davidson is 10-7 in its last 17 league games.
• The Wildcats are coming off a 35-29 setback in overtime last week and have lost their last two contests, both in the PFL.
• Dayton is the defending PFL?champions and comes into the game with a record of 5-1, including a 2-0 league mark.
• The Flyers are 1-1 on the road overall, and this is their first league game away from home.
• Dayton is coming off a 27-9 home victory over Drake last Saturday.
Series Record
• Davidson trails the all-time series, which began in 1989, 5-1.
• The 'Cats posted their only victory over Dayton at home in 2006, 37-36. It was the last time the teams met at Richardson Stadium.
• The Flyers hung on for a 38-28 victory in Welcome Stadium last season.
• Davidson jumped out to a 14-7 lead on a Kenny Mantuo 5-yard rushing TD, but the Flyers scored two touchdowns in the last 2:18 of the first half to open a 21-14 cushion.
• A Mantuo TD trimmed the margin to 31-28 with 10:27 left in the fourth quarter, but the 'Cats could get no closer. Dayton tacked on a TD?with 3:04 left in the game for the final margin.
• Mantuo finished with 21 carries for 72 yards and three TDs, and Chad Barnes added 57 yards on 12 carries.
• Ryan Alexander threw for 293 yards and a score but had three interceptions.
• In 2006, the Wildcats held a 30-7 advantage after a Brad Smith 37-yard field goal with five minutes left in the third quarter.
• Dayton stormed back, scoring three TDs to tie the game 30-30 with 7:38 to play.
• Alexander found Myles Potter for a 12-yard TD pass, making the margin 37-30 with 5:28 to go.
• The Flyers came up with a fumble recovery in the end zone with a minute to go, but went for the two-point conversion and the win and came up short.
• Alexander threw for 329 yards and four touchdowns.

• Dayton features a balanced offensive attack, averaging 226.5 yards in the air and 133.5 on the ground.
• Ben Shappie leads the team in rushing with 85 carries for 386 yards and nine TDs.
• Rob Florian has thrown for 1,248 yards and seven TDs and has gained 130 yards on the ground.
• The Flyer defense is allowing just 62.3 rushing yards an outing and has forced 18 turnovers.
• Matt Smyth has two interceptions, returning one for a touchdown.
