Wildcats to Travel to NYC

DAVIDSON, N.C. - After a stop at Clarion Jan. 8 for its first dual match of season, the Davidson wrestling team will travel to New York City to take on Duke and Princeton in the historic New York Athletic Club Jan. 11.
Tickets for the matches are $20, and a banquet, which costs $25, will follow. The matches will begin on two mats at 5:30 p.m. Check out the Davidson Athletic Foundation web page for more information on the night's events.
The Wildcats are led by 174-pound senior Trebor Clavette, who owns a 12-3 mark to go along with two second-place finishes this season.
Ben Altman, who placed third at the Davidson Open, has a 13-7 record at 125 pounds. The sophomore has two fourth-place finishes to his credit.
Sam O'Hair also owns a 13-7 record with four pins. The junior finished second at the Davidson Open and was fourth at the Pembroke Open.
Following the matches in New York City, the 'Cats return home to host Gardner-Webb in the season's first home match Jan. 15. The action will begin at 7 p.m. in Belk Arena.
