Hoyt Named SoCon Indoor Men's Track Performer of the Week

DAVIDSON, N.C. — After helping the Wildcat men's track team to a third-place finish at the Patriot Games on Saturday afternoon, junior Alex Hoyt has been named Southern Conference Indoor Men's Track Performer of the Week, for the week of Jan. 30 as announced the league office today.
In the individual events, Hoyt placed sixth in the 1,000 meters with a Davidson Top-10 and team-best time of 2:34.06.
He also anchored the Wildcats' winning distance medley relay with a split time of 4:25.07. Peter Bruton, Jonathan Koch and Blake Evitt were also members of the first-place medley relay that finished in 10:42.78 with a Davidson Top-10 performance.
The men's tracksters will return to action Feb. 1-2, when they travel to Chapel Hill, N.C. for the Carolina Classic.
