Today's Game
• Davidson returns home to host Lenoir-Ryhne on Homecoming.
• The 'Cats have won two of their last three, dating back to last season.
• Davidson is coming off a 33-30 setback at Wingate last Saturday. It was their first road game of the season.
• The Wildcats have won four consecutive home games, dating back to 2006. Their last home loss was against San Diego Sept. 23.
• Lenoir-Rhyne enters the game with an 0-2 record and is coming off a 48-7 loss at FCS No. 1 ranked Appalachian State.
• The Bears are on a four-game losing streak, dating back to last season, and have lost five-straight games on the road.
Series Record
• The Wildcats trail the all-time series, which dates back to 1910, 7-5 but posted a 24-14 victory on the road last season.
• Davidson has lost four-straight games to the Bears at home.
• The 'Cats last home win over Lenoir Ryhne was a 20-17 triumph in 1973.
• Davidson is 1-4 against Lenoir-Rhyne in the last five meetings.
• Jonathan Hubbard rushed 25 times for 144 yards, and Brett Dioguardi had eight receptions for 100 yards to lead the 'Cats in the last meeting.
• Davidson built a 24-0 lead in the game before Lenoir-Rhyne scored twice in 41 seconds with less than five minutes to go in the contest.
Scouting the Bears
• Lenoir-Rhyne is averaging 141 yards a game on the ground.
• James Pone leads the attack, averaging 107 yards a contest.
•Daniel Anderson has thrown for 111 yards with no interceptions.
• The Bears are young. Anderson and Pone are freshmen. One senior starts on offense, and three seniors start on defense.
• Ten starters on both sides of the ball are freshmen or sophomores.
Player of the Week
• Junior defensive back Matt Easton was named the PFL Defensive Player of the Week.
• He led the team with nine tackles against Wingate and had an interception, which he returned 25 yards for a touchdown.
• He also was credited with a sack and a forced fumble.
• It was the first Defensive Player of the Week honor for Easton and the first for Davidson since senior Bud Crawford earned the accolade Sept. 16, 2006.
