Davidson, N.C. - Davidson has teamed with Internet Consulting Services (ICS) of Syracuse, N.Y., to launch a new interactive Web site for its department of athletics at www.DavidsonWildcats.com.
"We are very pleased with the look and feel of our new Athletics Web site,” said Director of Athletics Jim Murphy. “While seamless to most users, our new site will provide greater flexibility and enhanced capacity in the delivery of information such as rosters and statistics as well as new content, including video streaming of live games and coaches' interviews. Our new site gives us the opportunity to utilize new technology as it develops."
Wildcat fans worldwide will now have unprecedented access to information and programming about their favorite sports teams. Davidson will stream live video of a number of games for various sports, including men and women's basketball, football, volleyball, men and women's soccer and wrestling. A link to free live audio broadcasts through Teamline Sports will also be provided.
The site will contain complete news, rosters, schedules, scores, statistics, records and bios for all 21 Wildcat Division I varsity programs. In addition, fans can sign up to receive a weekly e-newsletter to catch up on Davidson athletics. The domain name DavidsonWildcats.com was generously donated by Davidson alum Peter Amidon '94.
The site that used to house Davidson athletics (www.davidson.edu/athletics) will remain live in the short term but will not be updated. Please remember to change your bookmarks to coincide with the new site.
About ICS: Founded in 1996 by Jeff Rubin, ICS has spent the past 11 years providing clients with innovative technological solutions for their web needs. Since its founding, ICS has pioneered technologies in web design, content management systems, e-commerce solutions and many other areas.
Syracuse University, Colgate University, Eastern Michigan University and Drexel University are just a few colleges that produce their athletics Web sites through ICS.
