Men's Cross Country Finishes 24th at Paul Short Invitational

BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- The Davidson men's cross country team competed at the annual Paul Short Invitational on Friday afternoon on the campus of Lehigh University and came in 24th place out of 42 teams.

Sophomore Lance Harden (Apex, N.C.) paced the 'Cats, crossing the finish line 58th with a season best time of 25:20 in the 8K. His time was the 8th fastest Davidson 8K time ever on any course and it's the second straight race Harden has paced the Wildcats.

Junior Sam Morris (Seattle, Wash.) was 103rd with a time of 25:47 and senior Alex Varner (San Rafael, Calif.) crossed 130th with a time of 26:05 to round out the top three for the Davidson men, who collected 676 team points.

The men will next run in the Blue Ridge Mountain Open at Appalachian State on Oct. 13.
