Mens Cross Country Earns All-Academic National Honors

DAVIDSON, N.C. — For the ninth straight year the Davidson men's cross country team earned a major academic honor from the United States Cross Country Coaches Association (USCCCA) as the Wildcats were one of several teams to be recently named to the All-Academic team.
The Wildcats finished the fall semester with a team GPA of 3.15 and were one of 86 teams to be named to the All-Academic squad.
To qualify, a team had to have a 3.0 GPA or better. To be honored on the All-Academic Team with Distinction, a squad needed a GPA of 3.25 or higher. Davidson, who finished fourth at the 2006 Southern Conference Championships, earned All-Academic honors with Distinction in 2004 for the second time.
Davidson was the lone Southern Conference member to qualify for the list as there are over 300 NCAA Division I institutions which sponsor men's cross country.
