Wildcat women set New Mark in 4x100 Relay at Radford Invite

RADFORD, Va. – The 4x100 relay team rewrote the school record once more, as Davidson's women's track team competed at the Radford Collegiate Invite on Saturday afternoon.

Freshman Kristen Meister, sophomore Chieko Phillips, sophomore Kim Colley and junior Amaka Obidegwu bettered the school-record set earlier in the season at the Charlotte Invitational (50.07), finishing in a time of 48.87.

Phillips also finished second in the 200 meters in a time of 25.67, narrowly missing the Davidson standard in the event set by Katurri Phillips last season (25.60).

The Wildcat women will now gear up for the 2007 Southern Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Fri., April 21 and Sat., April 22 on the campus of Appalachian State University.
