Team Academic Award Winners
DAVIDSON, N.C. — The Wildcat women's soccer squad was recently honored as a team for their academic excellence this past season as announced by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).
For the 13th consecutive year, Davidson earned the Women's College Team Academic Award from the NSCAA for the 2006-07 season. The program has won the award since the inception of it in 1996. The wildcats as a team had a 3.12 GPA and were one of 298 women's teams to earn the academic honor.
Davidson concluded a very successful 2007 season with a trip to the semifinals of the Southern Conference tournament for the fourth time in the past five years, and matched the school record with 14 wins, going 14-5-1 overall.
