Distance Medley Relay Team's School Record Time Paces Men's Indoor Track and Field at UNC Fast Times

DAVIDSON, N.C. — The team of seniors David Ritchie (Austin, Texas) and Douglas Noreen (Apex, N.C.) along with junior Brad Troxell (Fort Collins, Colo.) and sophomore Alex Hoyt (Salem, Va.) registered a school-best time of 10:17.04 in the distance medley relay and six other runners earned top-10 finishes for the men's indoor track and field team this weekend, Jan. 26-27, at the UNC Fast Times. Besides the school record time set, eight different athletes in all etched their names onto either the Davidson top-10 performer list or the top-10 performance list or both of them.
The distance medley relay team broke the school record time of 10:23.67 set in 2004. Ritchie and Noreen were both part of that team in 2004 as well. Noreen also picked up a 4th place finish in the 800-meter with a time of 1:56.46 this weekend, putting him on the Davidson top-10 performance list in that event.
Sophomore Lance Harden (Apex, N.C.) raced his way to first and third place finishes in the 5000-meter (15:07.19) and 3000-meter (8:44.01). His 3000-meter time placed him on the Davidson top-10 performance and performer list.
