Allen Sutton came to Davidson College to serve as Coordinator of Intramural and Club Sports, in August 2008 after spending two years serving as the Club Sports Graduate Assistant at East Carolina University.
In the spring of 2010, Sutton became Assistant Director of Physical Education & Campus Recreation for the newly recognized Campus Recreation program at Davidson. During his time at Davidson, he has worked to insure stability in the Club Sports program and promote student development mentoring club officers. Allen works daily to cultivate an atmosphere where student leaders can develop and thrive. Allen also serves as camp director for the Davidson College Day Camp at the Lake and oversees the Davidson College Lake Campus.
In his spare time, Sutton enjoys playing golf, officiating men's college basketball and being an active member the Davidson community. Most of all he enjoys spending time with his wife, Joan, and his three children- Evelyn, Grant & Jack.
