2015-16: Appeared in eight tournaments for the Wildcats as a junior… Finished a career best tied 19th at the 2016 Davidson College Invitational.
2014-15: Appeared in all 10 events as a sophomore… Finished third on the squad with a 76.28 stroke average… Carded three rounds of par or better… Fired a career-best seven-under 65 in round two of the Fighting Irish Classic hosted by Notre Dame… Placed just outside the Top-25 at the AutoTraders.com Collegiate Classic hosted by Georgia State, finishing T-26th.
2013-14: Appeared in five tournaments as a freshman… finished with a 77.08 stroke average… posted a season-low two-over 74 in his first collegiate round at the Tar Heel Intercollegiate.
Prior to Davidson: Two-time Southwestern 4A Conference Player of the Year… Qualified for the National Big “I” Junior Tournament in 2011 and 2012… Finished 16th in the event following his senior campaign… Ranked 3rd in the State of North Carolina and 34th Nationally by Junior Golf Scoreboard… In 2012 was named the Southern Mecklenburg Golfer of the Year.
Personal: Born August 30, 1994… Son Marci and L.D. Simmons ’81… His father was an All-SoCon Golfer in 1978… Has two siblings, Grace Lee and Will… Grace Lee also attends Davidson… Undecided on his academic major.
