Austin Davis
Austin Davis joined the Davidson coaching staff in March 2016. Davis comes to Davidson after a successful coaching stint with the University of North Carolina track and field team.

At Chapel Hill, Davis assisted in coaching the combine events, pole vault, and horizontal jumps. During the 2016 indoor season he helped Emily Godwin and Tory Kemp to pentathlon scores of 4091 and 4052 respectively.
 
Before returning to his alma mater Davis served as an assistant coach at Winston Salem State University from 2012 to 2015. While at Winston Salem State, Davis assisted the coaching staff with recruiting by coordinating on-campus recruiting visits. He also coordinated home meet operations and logistics, the travel schedule and training student-athletes.

Davis also served as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the combine-events, long jumpers, triple jumpers, high jumpers, hurdlers, sprinters, and throwers. He also provided technical expertise to each of these groups during his time at Winston Salem State University.

Davis was instrumental in coaching Tajanel McNeill to 15 All-Conference performances in three years. The former walk-on is now a 5-time CIAA conference MVP award winner. She holds the school record in the triple jump (12.72m), long jump (5.95m), and pentathlon. She received 4 All-America nods in the jumps and relays.

Davis assisted in coaching Tametris Morrison to a personal best 59.22 in the 400 Hurdles; this performance earned her All-America honors.

Another pupil of Davis' was Raven Covington who set personal bests of 7.41 seconds in the 60 meter dash, and 11.55 seconds in the 100 meter dash. Both of these performances earned her All-America Honors and are school records.

He assisted in coaching the 4x100 meter Relay team to 2 consecutive 2nd place finishes at the Division II Outdoor National Championships. This team ran a school record 45.50 seconds.

Davis was a jumper on UNC men's track and field team from 2007-2011.He earned All-America honors his sophomore year and became an ACC Champion in the triple jump. Davis secured his place in Carolina's history by breaking the school record in the triple jump at 53-5.75.
 
Davis earned his bachelor of arts in Exercise and Sports Science at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2012 and has a USA Track and Field Coaching Education Level 2 certification in Jumps.
