Michele Schrift joined the Davidson field hockey program in the fall of 2013 as a volunteer assistant. Schrift comes to Davidson following a four-year standout career for Division II national champion West Chester University in Pennsylvania.
The 2012 PSAC East Player of the Year and team captain, Schrift was a CoSIDA Academic All-America District 2 selection as well as an all-NCAA Tournament honoree. A midfielder, she ranked third on the team with 25 goals – second most in a single season at WCU – and 57 points, earning her the 2012 Philadelphia Academic All-Area Performer of the Year award. Boasting a 3.6 GPA, Schrift was also an NFHCA Scholar of Distinction and PSCA Eastern Division All-Star.
While at West Chester, Schrift worked both the WCU Field Hockey day camps and goalkeeper/elite level camps. After receiving her degree in respiratory therapy in 2013, she works as a nurse at Presbyterian Hospital in Huntersville. She resides in Huntersville with her fiancé.
