Record-Breaking Performance Award Nominees
Daniel Alvarez-Orlachia, Men's Track
-Broke 2 school records this year, the 600m and 800m.
-Davidson's 800m record was previously held by Patrick Rollo '16 and Daniel chopped nearly two seconds off that time. He was this year's 800-meter A-10 Champion.
Eleni Daughters, Women's Track
-Broke three school records during the indoor track season - the 800m, 1000m, and 4x800 relay.
-Won the A10 Championship in the 1000m and scored in the 4x800 relay.
-Broke the 800m outdoor record last spring and was all conference in the 4x800.
Rosie Deegan, Women's Basketball
-Set freshman records in scoring and rebounding
-7-time Rookie of the Week and Rookie of the Year Winner.
-First player in program history to make First-Team All A-10.
Wesley Dugger, Football
-Broke the all-time career rushing yards mark as a junior (currently at 3,247 yards as a junior - previous record was 3,165)
-Broke the single-season TD record with 22 (previous record was 18).
Alex Ross, Golf
-6 Top-5 finishes in 7 tournaments with 1 victory and was top-ranked player in the A-10 before the season was suspended.
-He set the record for Top 5 finishes in program history in a season during a shortened season
-Shot a 57 in a tournament last summer, the score ever in that tournament compretion
Sarah Helen Shepherd, Women's Swimming
-Won her first A-10 Championship in the 200 IM.
-In consecutive swims in that event, she became the first Davidson woman under 2 minutes and the first under 1:59.
-Her winning time in a record of 1:58.99 was the second fastest in A-10 history.
-She had finished the 2019 season as the school record in this event, but her record was broken by Shelby Stanley in December. Sarah Helen took the record back in the prelims and the two finished 1-2 in the finals.
Women's Basketball
-Made 14 3-pointers in a 101-point scoring effort to beat WCU.
-Seven different players hit three pointers.
Women's Soccer
-Most wins since 2011 and first winning season since 2012.
-Program records for most A-10 Player of the Week honors (6), longest shutout streak (8), best A-10 conference finish, longest unbeaten streak since 2009 (8 games), and school record for fastest goal scored (21 seconds).
-Had the #2 defense in the A-10 and had the most shutouts since 2010 (9).
